Proseal worldwide is a supplier of tray sealing machinery and allied equipment for the global soft fruit sector. Proseal enables customers to pack their products in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Because of the topseal principle, plastic consumption is already reduced to a great extent. The move from the traditional clip on lid to a top-seal film for soft fruit punnets and trays can reduce packaging materials by as much as 42% and has the potential to offer a saving of up to 10 Tons of plastic for every 1 million trays sealed. For a next step customers can also think of the use of trays of sustainable materials such as cardboard and pulp.

Examples of these sustainable packaging solutions of for instance Stackpack, which can be sealed easily, will be shown at the Sismatec booth B-04 in Hall 7.1b at the Fruit Logistica exhibition. The company will also show that using a reclosable film can reduce food waste. At the booth, there will be a Proseal GT4s automatic tray sealer, capable of sealing up to 140 packs per minute. For the show the company has developed a special seal tool for sealing these carton-board trays.
