Cathy explained the current demand and trends: “We are a large-scale, professional, plastic corrugated sheet and packaging box manufacturer in China. We supply our goods all over the world. We see that currently there is a lot of demand for our products from companies that sell dragon fruit, peas, seafood and okra. These seasonal products are now in full production, so the demand for boxes for those products is very high now.”
This year the trade war with America continues and that has its impact on fruit and vegetable companies, but also on packaging companies like ours, she explained: “This year we did not export our products to America. The tariff rose this year to 25%, which makes it hard to keep a strong competitive position in the market for us. A lot of companies were not willing to pay for the high tariffs, so we decided to put our focus on other markets. Our products have the right certificate to export to different countries, like the GLOBAL GAP, so that makes it easier for us to reach other markets as well. Other advantages of our product is, they are: lightweight, waterproof, printable, multicolor and suitable for food products.”
Shandong Runping Plastic owns 7 advanced plastic hollow board production lines, and has a yearly production capacity for high quality plastic hollow board that reaches about 10000 ton. They export to America, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Honduras, Ecuador and countries in the Middle East. “Our products have multiple uses. Apart from packaging, a lot of companies also use our material for growing their trees, because it can also be used as tree protection. So our products are really multi-use.”
