Proseal designed packing system for blueberries

British company Proseal, specializing in heat sealing, designed and installed a packing system for berry punnets at Berry Gardens company, a supplier of soft and stone fruit.

The process of blueberry packing is rather complicated and meticulous due to the small size of the berries. However, the system has increased speed and accuracy, and has reduced product waste. The new technology is based on the work of Proseal GT tray sealer allows producing of 210 packs per minute.

The Proseal-designed system has a twin-lane conveyor that uses a continuous motion chain and peg system that streams the packs into the tray sealer, and thus, increases the accuracy of tray placement and sealing.

The system meets the standards of hygiene in the food industry and provides a more ergonomic and user-friendly working environment for operators.
