Increase in visitor numbers
MedFEL 2025 delighted exhibitors and visitors alike. The Perpignan event seems to be making headway in terms of visitor numbers. The first day was extremely busy, with crowded aisles, "packed stands, quality exchanges, a somewhat frenzied atmosphere, and the presence of supermarket buyers." The backdrop to the two-day event was climate, production costs, and above all, competition...
The Agora area
Once again this year, the two days of medFEL were punctuated by conferences and round tables on the latest news and issues facing the fruit and vegetable sector, such as prices, French origin for processed products and organic produce, and the traditional apricot harvest forecasts(here), plum harvest forecasts(here) and melon planting forecasts(here). The peach and nectarine harvest forecasts will take place on May 20th.

MedEMPLOI
MedFEL is also about employment, with medEMPLOI being held since 2023, and the results have been fairly positive. The job dating event, organized for the first time in 2024, was a great success this year, according to the representative of the Adhoc Occitania agency on site. 50 candidates were selected with the participation of 4 companies, in partnership with France Travail.
Interfel
Another highlight of this year's edition was the presence of Interfel at medFEL for the first time. This presence was no coincidence, as the interprofessional organization officially created the Regional Interfel Committee for Occitania. The Committee's presentation conference and roadmap were held on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 23rd.
