On WK 41 the Kiwi Passion Consortium marketing season has started, and its bicolor flesh kiwi (Yellow&Red) will start traveling toward main European and overseas destinations. About November and the yellow flesh kiwi well known as GOLD PASSION will follow.
Yield estimations managed by our technicians, who visit all our associates, talk about a substantial volume increase on both varieties, compared with previous season.
Many orchards came into full swing and the season will be reminded for a good breakdown by sizes ,excellently dry matter content ,and amazing Brix degrees and flesh color, says Marco De Nadai, marketing and communication manager for the group.
First feedbacks are very positive, as consumers recognize the excellence of our fruits, and the wide majority shows clear intentions to buy them again in future.
"We are more and more convinced our varieties have extraordinary taste and color, and they can really set a difference on most demanding markets, says Nicola Negri, our Consortium's President, and we are enthusiast to share these results with our growers, partners and clients all around the world. This year our range is enriched by organic Red&Gold Passion, to match all requests coming form the organic trade. We believe in the next future organic production will become a significant share of our business. We will also test some tricolor packs, with Red, Gold and Green kiwi together on the same retail pack, in order to provide our customers with the widest kiwi eating experience."
After a 2021-22 successful season, both with growers, customers and consumers, our goals remain unchanged: to offer to the market fruits of highest quality and unbeatable flavor, joint with a deep respect of the environmental themes, not only on growing but also on packing materials choice, in order to provide the most sustainable packaging.
"Our retail packs in fact will be 100% compostable, to meet the increasing requests from both customers and consumers. Our assortment includes, out of the loose product into 6 kg boxes, also 1 layer trays,2,3 kg for Red Passion and 3 kg for Gold passion. And a 250-300 grams retail pack 100& cardboard (see picture) we developed to increase our brand image and give added value to points of purchase."
"During the entire marketing campaign our communication &Marketing team will be active on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Linkedin, through a full video campaign addressing our motto: whatever we do we do it with love, moved by passion for nature and its fruits."
The Consortium main mission is to guarantee the highest quality standard, but the real goal is to contribute for a better living, a better environment, also through a more responsible agricultural practices.
"Our hard job in few years led already to over 150 hectares of Red Kiwi and about 100 hectares of Gold kiwi, involving 100 grower all over Europe. Up to date we have 8 authorized packers and a very ambitious goal for the next future: to reach at least 700 hectares of our varieties. Red Passion and Gold Passion are our Consortium varieties, we deliver to the supermarket chains, retail shops, fruit shops and terminal markets."
"Within the main areas dedicated to our varieties we can list in Italy Calabria, Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Marche, Basilicata About Europe, we have a significant presence in Greece, France, Greece and Portugal. Our quick expansion will soon include some countries in the Southern hemisphere, such as Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil and South Africa, in order to guarantee a year round supply to our customers and consumers."
