Right now is the right time to eat durian. The price of durian was originally at several tens of yuan [1.49 USD] per 0.5 kg, but has now dropped to 13 yuan [1.94 USD] per 0.5 kg. All durian currently on the market has been imported from Thailand. The main varieties include Mon Thong, Red Sun, and Kan Yao. Although the Kan Yao durian has been sparse lately.

The durian season is slightly later this year than it was last year. The price, however, is similar. The production volume is large, so the price is low, and the sales volume is growing. The sales volume is expected to increase even further in the near future.
