Sanya City in Hainan plans to invest 5 million yuan [0.75 million USD] in the agricultural industry this year.
Of the 5-million investment, the city will invest 2 million yuan [0.3 million USD] in the tropical fruit industry, which goes towards safeguarding the quality of mango seedlings and the cultivation of ecosystems that protect old mango forests. The investment also supports the establishment of standardized mango and passion fruit orchards, which will in turn improve the fruit industry in Sanya.
