Corporate information Val Venosta Apples
Val Venosta Apples consists of seven cooperatives bringing together a total of 1,750 producers who cultivate more than 5,250 hectares in the Venosta valley, located in the Italian Alps.
Special features of the Valley (300 days of sunshine per year, sharp temperature fluctuations between day and night, and the altitude at which the apples are grown, of between 500 and 1,000 metres) make it possible to grow a high quality product, with a unique taste and an unmistakable crisp texture.
The Association of Horticultural Cooperatives of the Venosta Valley, VI.P, harvests an average of 350,000 tonnes of apples per season, which are sold in 46 international markets. The fruit's main destination is Italy, where it sells more than 50% of the production, while Spain represents between 7 and 8% of its sales.
