Last Sunday, Bonduelle celebrated its 50th anniversary. In Estrees-en-Chaussee, in Picardy, on a 50 acre site, 800 still people are still active. The French company is established in 18 countries. Bonduelle Group is now the largest company for canned and frozen vegetables in the world. Saturday thousands of employees and retirees celebrated this joyful event in a garden party.
The factory, founded in 1963, started in 1968 with the production of frozen vegetables, and was booming in the 70s. Dozens of families have settled in the region, mainly employees of Bonduelle. Today, 36 different vegetables are grown in Picardy. The company still employs 800 people.

Germany, Italy, the UK, Netherlands, Brazil, Slovenia, Russia, Argentina, United States ... Little by little, the small French company has grown and is now active in 18 countries. Bonduelle Group has four brands: Bonduelle, Cassegrain, Artic Gardens (Canada) and Globus (Russia). Herve Dujardin, head of the frozen food department, says Bonduelle continues to grow. Bonduelle annually produces 130,000 tons of canned vegetables and 90,000 tons of frozen vegetables.
Recently, Bonduelle warned for a trend of low profit in 2012-2013 and announced that weather conditions in Europe and Canada could affect the 2013-2014 harvest.
