For the second consecutive year, DuPont has been named in the "List of most innovative companies in the world" which Thomson Reuters produces annually. This is the second year that Thomson Reuters has published the list. In this list 100 companies and global institutions are recognized for their innovation and metrics governed by a number of specialties related with patents.
"Throughout our history, DuPont has been awarded more than 37,500 patents. Nowadays, innovation requires us to put patents at work, collaborating with our customers and anticipating growth trends in key markets," said Thomas Connelly, executive vice president and chief innovation officer at DuPont.
DuPont has recently opened eight centers of innovation around the world to provide a collaborative environment to customers, governments, academic institutions and business community. The goal is to connect DuPont's global customer base with
9,500 scientists and engineers is to accelerate the introduction of new products and applications.
