US: ProSelect unveils world's first carbon capture system for greenhouses

An official launch event will be held on Friday, April 20th at the demonstration site for ProSelect's GC6 Green Carbon Capture System, the world's first carbon capture system for the greenhouse industry. The revolutionary new technology is designed to heat greenhouse operations while simultaneously filtering pollutant emissions, capturing the carbon dioxide and converting it into fertilizer to grow healthy fruits and vegetables. This industry changing, local innovation offers a completely sustainable, cost-effective and clean solution for commercial greenhouse operations.

The GC6 launch event will commence at 10:30 am with presentations from ProSelect Gas Treating Inc. co-founders, Reinhold and Victor Krahn of SunSelect Produce; and co-founder, Nick Ten Asbroek of Procede BV. In addition, Dr. James Tansey, CEO of Offsetters Carbon Neutral Society, will provide a short presentation. An official ribbon cutting ceremony, facility tours and refreshments will follow presentations. Attendees will include stakeholders, government officials and the media. The VIP guest list includes Wes Shoemaker, Deputy Minister of the BC Ministry of Agriculture; John Les, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA for Chilliwack; and Vicki Huntington, MLA Delta South. Many industry representatives will also be attendance, including those from the BC Greenhouse Growers Association and the BC Vegetable Marketing Commission.
