Kronen CEO Stephan Zillgith on the cooperation with Urschel:

"Together we are more competitive"

KRONEN GmbH in Kehl is a global player in a special niche. Founded in 1978, the family-owned company builds machines that wash, cut, dry, and package fruit, vegetables, and lettuces. But CEO Stephan Zillgith emphasizes, "We do not supply standard products. Our strength lies in our customer focus and solution-oriented thinking." Together with a research institute, a robotic solution was developed that automates the process. "This is what makes our business exciting," says Zillgith.

At KRONEN, innovation is not just about technology. It also involves cooperation. In the future, the company will offer complete processing lines in collaboration with the US company Urschel. "They are strong in cutting machines, we are strong in washing technology – together we are more competitive," explains Zillgith. The USA is considered a market of the future, with Asia and Europe also coming more into focus.
