Laser marking for organic kiwifruit

Dorì organic kiwifruits truly stand out and, as of this year, they each bear the Dorì Organic logo. "This superficial printing system does not damage the flesh, as the laser only marks the peel. We have carried out many tests and all results were positive," explains Giampaolo Dal Pane, President of the consortium.

The harvesting of Dorì golden kiwifruits started on September 8th 2020 in Lazio and is coming to an end in northern Italy. "Despite the fact that frost damaged part of the production, we have reached 3500 tons, so we are in line with expectations. Sales have started and we have already shipped the first containers to China and Australia."

As for quality, the dry matter content is around 18 on average, while average grades are 120 grams. "Both the organic and traditional fruits have high organoleptic qualities. We have considerable quantities available for sales in Italy, Europe and even overseas."
