Viva Fresh was big in every way a Texas produce show should be and SunFed took the opportunity to introduce its brand new big and bold semi-truck - covered in bright colors. Gretchen Kreidler Austin announced that, “This truck will run dedicated delivery routes for our customers, giving SunFed more control over our supply chain and maintaining our Perfect Produce® reputation.” If you see their truck on the road, the company is encouraging people to snap a picture and post it to #SunFed for entry into a drawing for SunFed paraphernalia.
The company also debuted a new zucchini recipe at Viva Fresh. “Craig sent me a recipe for a keto zucchini ball, featuring SunFed zucchini, of course, to sample at the show. That recipe didn’t taste good,“ Kreidler Austin joked. “After much testing, I developed a new recipe that was show worthy. We sampled both the keto and a conventional version of the recipe at Viva Fresh, but the keto version was the crowd favorite!”
Just to spice up attention to their balls, SunFed had a “Name our Balls” contest in search of the most clever name. The company said that so many great entries were received that it was difficult for the team to pick just one favorite. But they did.
The winner of SunFed’s “Name Our Balls” contest is Megan Zweig of DMA Solutions. The official name of the keto friendly zucchini balls is, 'Keto Your Hands Off My Zucchini Balls'!
