New brand identity for the Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance has revealed its new brand identity following its recent merger with UTZ.

A product of the close partnership with the creative change agency Futerra, the new Rainforest Alliance brand identity reflects their new proposition working at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests. It is the visible representation that the organization is building a new powerful alliance.

"We've dedicated more than 30 years to amplifying the voices of farmers and forest communities, improving livelihoods, protecting biodiversity, and helping people mitigate and adapt to climate change in bold and effective ways. Through the years, our brand has changed and adapted along with the growth of our organization." said Daria Koreniushkina, PR manager for The Rainforest Alliance.

"We launched a new brand identity that represents our next major milestone in our integration with UTZ, after our merger in January 2018. By joining forces, we are creating a better future for people and nature by making responsible business the new normal. Inspired by rainforest habitat, the innovative rebrand is both bold and fresh, with a sleeker, more dynamic frog in vibrant colours on the redesigned website and other channels.""

The new brand identity rolls out even though the Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certification programs are still running in parallel. The organization plans to launch a single new program at the end of 2019. The goal is to develop a new standard and program that has a greater social, environmental, and economic impact, giving farmers and producers an enhanced framework to improve their livelihoods while protecting the landscapes where they live and work.
