"The latest initiatives and efforts deployed by the sector will allow us to increase our production. That, and our product's quality, will allow us to become important players in the world's pineapple market", said Fabio Giuntoli, of Frutas Chiara, a Dominican company dedicated to the production and export of pineapple.
"2017 was a very positive year"
Frutas Chiara is a member of the Apropic pineapple producers association, the largest pineapple producers association in the Dominican Republic, with more than 130 producers and more than 2,000 hectares of cultivation. "It may seem small, but it is a big association in our country," he said.
