Optimum continues to expand its activity in the United States

The world's leading agricultural company, Optimum Agriculture, has recently announced the acquisition of 2,261 hectares of farmland, new processing facilities, the Generation Farms brand, and other goods in Tattnall and Toombs counties in the state of Georgia, United States.

Optimum plans to continue the operations to cultivate, package, and distribute onions and watermelons that Generation Farms carried out, and they will continue to supply several of Generation Farms' previous clients.

“We welcome the Generation Farms team to the Optimum family. This purchase is part of a long-term plan to maximize our operational efficiency by diversifying climate and harvest risks in various states,” said Gaston Marquevich, the CEO of Optimum Agriculture. "Our short-term goal is to increase the use of the facilities by increasing production so we can distribute our products to the supermarket chains throughout the whole year."

This transaction will allow Optimum ICD Holdings LLC to integrate its businesses vertically by growing, packaging, and distributing fresh products to some of the largest retailers in the United States. The acquisition of Generation Farms will permit Optimum to expand its production line by focusing on onions, watermelons, sweet potatoes, peas, cabbage, and corn.

The acquisition of Generation Farms is the third purchase that Optimum ICD Holdings LLC makes in the United States, after having acquired El Maximo Ranch and Island Pond.
