In the Swiss village of Eggenwil, fresh fruits and vegetables are packed by a GKS CP 350 PLUS with the serial number 1000. On this occasion, Kronen managing director Stephan Zillgith attended the commissioning of the machine and presented managing director of Guggisberg Agro AG, Paul Guggisberg, and David Freund of Seda-Freund AG, the official Kronen representation in Switzerland, with the GKS award for the machine with the four-digit serial number.
Soon after the order for the machine was placed, this success was celebrated at Fruit Logistica, when owner and managing director of GKS Packaging Ivo Geukes handed over the award to Stephan Zillgith. In order to offer customers complete processing solutions including preparation, cutting, washing, dewatering, peeling, disinfection up to packaging, Kronen and GKS packaging have cooperated in the field of packaging solutions for 15 years – thus the two companies, with the support of the Seda-Freund AG, who sold the machine to the Swiss customer, reached this milestone together. After handing over the award, Stephan Zillgith said: “We are pleased to have reached this success together with our longstanding partners GKS Packaging and Seda-Freund AG and to share it with
the customer – who has contributed to reaching this four-digit milestone.”
For more than 10 years the family-run business is a quality-conscious customer of Seda Freund AG and collaborates with the Swiss representation of Kronen. The company works according to the motto “from the field to the kitchen” and thus particularly processes vegetables and salads from their own farming, the farming of Paul Guggisberg´s brother or other regional farms.
