"Peaches from Yangshan enjoyed stable weather conditions throughout the year and therefore entered the market one week earlier than last year. The production season will last until around September 10th. Many peach orchards enjoyed a bumper harvest, as did many other kinds of orchards this year. The production volume clearly increased in comparison with the previous production season, and so the price decreased somewhat. The overall retail conditions, however, still look good. This was particularly obvious during the recent Dragon Boat Festival [18 June]. The festival presented excellent retail opportunities for gift-boxes of peaches."
