The retailer BILLA Bulgaria has received the special award, "Partner of Bulgarian producers", by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria and the magazine "Economy". The competition has been held for over 20 years, with awards being presented to those managers and entrepreneurs who have contributed the most to the development of Bulgaria's economy.
"This award is the result of our consistent policy to support domestic producers. We strive to help Bulgarian growers to develop their business and sell their produce. Our partnership with them is extremely beneficial and we believe it has a positive impact for both them and the consumers, who are given access to quality products of Bulgarian origin. We will continue our efforts to create more opportunities for local producers," stated the manager of BILLA Bulgaria, Boyko Sachanski, in a press release.
In recent years, the retail chain has started a number of successful initiatives in support of Bulgarian producers, focused on the advantages of supplying consumers with local products.
One of the biggest campaigns has been "Gardens of BILLA", which has resulted in the chain signing successful partnerships with over 30 carefully selected local producers. Thanks to this campaign, BILLA's customers can choose from a variety of delicious and high-quality fruits and vegetables grown in 150 farms in the most fertile places in Bulgaria. BILLA experts carry out strict quality controls of the production from the planting until the products hit the shelves.
