New French Foreign Trade Advisor

On the 26th February 2016, the “Journal Officiel”, following a decree from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development on the 24th February 2016, signed by the Prime Minister, officialized the nomination of Mr. Cyril Gornes, 34 years of age, Director General of Saint Charles International Services, as French Foreign Trade Advisor (FFTA) for a three year term as of the 1st January this year.

The FFTA has four major missions; advising public authorities, promoting the attractiveness of France, supporting businesses and international training.

As such, the network which counts some 4,000 people, of which 1,300 are on French territory, is setting up a vast panel of voluntary actions including the organisation of conferences, sponsoring small to medium enterprises internationally, supporting the Volunteer for International Experience programme, tutoring and raising awareness amongst young people of international professions.

Cyril Gornes, who is also Director of Saint Charles Export, is already familiar with these fields and has already organised numerous missions abroad and received foreign buyers for companies that are members of the small to medium enterprise export group.

Cyril Gornes, sponsored by Mr. Georges Jordan, is to this day one of the youngest French Foreign Trade Advisors.

The Languedoc-Roussillon section has 42 advisors and is presided by Mrs. Francoise Nicoulet.
