HelloFresh, the German supplier of meal boxes, made 75 million Euro in a new round of finance. This lifts the value of the company to around 2.6 billion Euro, it was shown on Thursday. HelloFresh supplies millions of boxes with ingredients and recipes to subscribers in the Benelux, Germany, the United States and Great Britain every month.
Majority shareholder is Rocket Internet, the German investor in up and coming internet businesses. This company was an early moneylender for the web store Zalando. On Wednesday it was shown that carpool service BlaBlaCar from France has received 200 million dollars worth of finance from investors, making the value of the start up 1.6 billion dollars.
