"Derk van Duijvenboode: "WC talk with English board of Bos Brothers next year'"
Bos Brothers currently still running
At the end of September it was announced that there is a proposal to close Bos Brothers Fruit & Vegetables from Hoek van Holland, part of the British retailer Morrisons. According to Derk van Duivenboode, not much has changed in the situation since then. "The Works Council will be chosen at the end of December and talks with the English board of Bos Brothers at the beginning of January."
In an earlier stage Derk indicated that all agreements already made and which still had to be met before the summer of 2015, would be met. "Nothing has changed in this. There is a proposal. And however serious the proposal is, before the talks are finished it will be 'business as usual'."
"It's easy to say that, but it is an uncertain period for all our colleagues. We have to wait and see how the Work Council's talks with the English board go and we can't predict what the outcome of this talk will be so far," concludes Derk.
