Mexico: Commercial assistance for avocado packers

Mexican avocado sales are increasing steadily in Japan. In comparison to Europe, the situation is somewhat more complicated because, as Gonzalo Aguilar from the Mexican consultancy A21 explains, "when Mexican exports were redirected to the U.S., the Chilean product lost shares in that market and went to Europe, which currently makes it difficult for Mexican packers to compete with prices in that area."

Given this situation and the changing environment of the international markets, some producers take advantage of A21's professional services and protect their business interests. The company specializes in sales aspects but also conducts post-sale services, such as the resolution of commercial disputes, the recovery of non-performing loans, and legal assistance abroad, amongst others.

Other services that the company include promotion, representation in exhibitions and organizing marketing and advertising campaigns. The company has specialists that can carry out the design aspects of a brand or a products packaging, logos, website, and any basic infrastructure related to presentation cards and official stationery.

Due to its location, the company is mainly oriented to the Mexican market, but it has the resources to assist any company around the world as it has contacts in North America, Europe and Asia and it's currently organizing exports to the United States, Canada, France and Japan, amongst others.

A team of professionals with extensive experience in negotiating and finding the most appropriate prospects works at A21. Associated professionals collaborate with the firm to handle the details pertaining marketing, accounting, taxes, human resources, information technology and systems, design, and strategic planning. "All of these resources allow us to always be able to offer clients the most professional service," said Gonzalo.

The company will be exhibiting at the Trade Forum 2013 in Morelia, Mexico and it will be attending the PMA Fresh Summit 2013 in the city of New Orleans in the United States.
