Homegrown Organic Farms announces new Southern California Operations Manager

Homegrown Organic Farms, one of the premier organic fresh produce marketers in the United States, is excited to announce Mr. Brian Guess as a new member of the Homegrown team. Brian was recently hired and is now operating as the new Regional Grower and Operations Manager in Southern California. Scott Mabs, Homegrown Organic Farms Chief Executive Officer, is excited to have Brian on board and believes his knowledge and experience will be a great addition to the team.

Brian recently graduated from California State University Fresno with a degree in Agricultural Business. His course work and special projects through the university brought him to join Baloian Farms as a Quality Control Manager. Most recently Brian was a part of SoFresh Produce as their Vendor Development Manager in Southern California.

Brian said, “I’m thrilled to join the team at Homegrown. The unique culture within the company is outstanding and I’m looking forward to growing with the company. Exciting things are happening in organic produce and I’m delighted that I get to be a part of it all.”

Brian is joining the Homegrown team to help facilitate the development and management of the company’s southern California operations. Much of his time will be spent dealing with citrus operations in the field and at the packinghouse. He brings a lot of product knowledge to the company and has a vision for building the Homegrown program throughout Southern California.
