Poland: Fruitland grows in international marketplace
For several years, the vast majority of Polish producers have faced the same problem – economic conditions which are getting worse and worse. However, the fruit producer from the Sochaczew region claims to have avoided those problems by taking care of quality and effectiveness of production.
Edmund Kowalski, the president of the company, is of the opinion that Fruitlands success is due to going above and beyond in dedication to producing the highest quality fruit. Edmund was determined to exceed the customers expectation with every harvest. These actions are at the heart of the company's ethos and the reason, they say, that they stand out among the rest.
The employees at Fruitland agree that this ideal is the reason the company grew during the recession. During these times many companies vanish from the market without a trace. “Our quality along with trust from our clients gave us the strength to be Poland's best fruit farmers” says Edmund Kowalski.
The company says that they focus on providing constant satisfaction for clients and maintaining the best quality fruits. They say they gathered together the best fruit farmers in the area of Sochaczewa and formed a company that guaranteed the best fruits.
Fruitland has been in the fruit farming business for generations. The tradition of farming was passed down over the years, maintaining the key elements that lead to their successes. All the hectares of land are treated with the same perfectionism, they say, and that makes each apple taste equally good and with equal nutrional benefits.
Fruitland produces on average 12 000 tonnes of apples annually. A large amount is exported to the German market. For the last few years Russia has also been a very important market. In 2012 Russia imported more than 1.26 million tons of apples from Poland, Siberia, Moldova, and China.
The company Fruitland today is considered an international producer of fruit. Mr. Kowalski believes that constant investing in technology and quality assurance will lead to future successes for the company. “Our success is based on the quality of our fruits, and if we lower our quality we will lose our customers” says Mr. Kowalski.
