SeraCulture hosting Greenhouse Produce Supply chain seminar

Growtech Eurasia 2012 will take place from 5-8 December in Antalya, Turkey. Growtech Eurasia 2012 is the most important horticultural meeting point of Turkey and the Middle East. This event is of interest for trading and manufacturers working in the fruit and vegetable sector with interest in doing business in Turkey, the Balkan States, North Africa and the Middle East. SeraCulture is an initiative launched in June 2008 by various leading Dutch companies representing all aspects of the horticultural sector. The aim is to develop Turkish protected horticulture on a broader basis and to establish a networking and business relationship between Turkey and The Netherlands. The initiative is supported by the Dutch government and various recognised centres of knowledge. More information on SeraCulture can be found on the website www.seraculture.com.

A special seminar is organised by SeraCulture together with the Netherlands Agricultural Business Support Office in Izmir. The title will be “Organizing Greenhouse Produce Supply Chain”. The seminar will be held on 7th of December in Antalya during the Growtech exhibition. During this seminar, lectures will be given by various speakers; the following topics will be covered:

  • Need and purpose of chain integration horticultural sector: Mr. Rene Vissers, Best Fresh Group Netherlands
  • Added value of temperature controlled logistics of greenhouse products: Mr. Peter Verhoef, Verhoef Consultancy
  • Need for Investment modern sustainable supply chain facilities in Turkey; by Mr. B. Tezel, Managing Director of Sultan Sera A.S. being part of the MB holding.
  • Greenhouse production and export in Turkey; by Mr. Berdan Ber, Antalya Exporter Union
