US: FreshPaper to keep fruit and vegetables fresh for longer

FreshPaper was developed by the company Fenugreen and contains zeolites, sodium permanganate, carbon or plastic. The 12 cm² sheets are made from only organic material, which is supposed to suppress the growth of bacteria and fungus on fruit and vegetables.

Fenugreen was established by Kavita M Shukla (inventor of FreshPaper) and Swaroop Samant (a medical professional). Shukla was still at high school when she developed FreshPaper and had it patented. A packing of 8 Freshpapers costs 4 Euro and a packing of 80 pieces Euro 34.
