Macfrut 2012: Foreign missions and inbound delegations
fast-track relationships with operators, exhibition centres and institutions.
The first, among the 2012 foreign missions, was in Israel at the Agromashov exhibition, which took place in Tel Aviv at the end of February. Valentina Piraccini, International Marketing Manager of Cesena Fiera, who was present at the exhibition, attracted Israeli operators’ and institutions’ interest in Italian production and technology - especially in the machinery and packaging sectors. Tangible signs of this interest will result in the arrival of an official delegation at the next Macfrut edition.
The second international mission carried out by Cesena Fiera was in Hungary, where Luigi Bianchi, Macfrut Co-ordinator presented to a crowded audience of operators belonging to the fruit and vegetables association 'FruitVeg'. Feedback was positive and those who have been attending Macfrut for years as visitors are often interested in becoming exhibitors. The Hungarian audience was even more impressed by the exhibition programme, which combines exhibitors’ offers and conferences with technical guided tours, making the major innovations of the sector tangible.
May started off with a new presentation of Macfrut in Hungary (Budapest, 3 May), and with a first meeting in the Czech Republic (Prague, 10 May), a country traditionally involved in the production of fruit and fresh produce, with strong perspectives. On 29 May, a new presentation is scheduled to take place in Poland (Warsaw).
The twenty-ninth edition of Macfrut will be held in Cesena (Italy) from 26 to 28 September 2012.
