Univeg help Encourage Young People in South Africa

Univeg Katopé South Africa has enrolled in a leadership program with Thlalefa School situated in the Politsi valley on the outskirts of Tzaneen, in northern South Africa.

The aim of the program is to help young people realise their potential and find their own unique voice and purpose. This empowers children to become agents of positive social change for themselves and their communities. This residential program and the ongoing support are structured around six core values: Awareness, Focus, Creativity, Integrity, Perseverance and Service.

Univeg employee Inger Truter said, “By Tuesday all the children participated, they seemed so happy, happy with themselves, being themselves they were so relaxed…I was so overwhelmed to see all these happy faces, to see them smile, and experience the joy on their faces, true joy, true happiness of being children – what an unbelievable experience.”
