Primaflor is the first company to use IV-Range compostable plastic-free salad bags

Primaflor became the first company in the market to use sustainable packaging in its IV Range after it presented three salad references -Gourmet, Mézclum, and Campestre- that it is marketing in compostable bags.

“Compostable containers become compost when they disintegrate, reducing our carbon footprint and avoiding the irrational use of plastic, thus contributing to the generation of a circular economy. In addition, they don't leave any toxic residues and degrade much faster than other types of ecological materials, thus limiting the uncontrolled exploitation of raw materials,” the company stated.

These bags also have an anti-fog effect that prevents condensation when they are introduced into a cold chamber, improving the quality of the product throughout its useful life. In addition, all the bag is printable."

Primaflor has incorporated this type of packaging in its Gourmet (curly endive, radicchio, and lamb's lettuce), Mézclum (frisée, radicchio, red shoots, and mizuna), and Campestre salads (romaine lettuce, curly endive, radicchio, and red chard shoots).

These new Primaflor products will be available in supermarkets starting March 2022.
