Both the organic market for potatoes and vegetables and robot technology for vegetable cultivation are the main topics of the 5th "Organic Specialist Forum for Vegetables and Potatoes" on November 10 in Visselhövede (Lower Saxony).
The specialist forum is focusing its attention on the vegetable field of the future and will be presenting five robots. Lectures on further developments within agri robotics will complement the presentation. Representatives of REWE, Lidl, EDEKA, Kaufland and Bünting will speak at the forum about their marketing strategies, future prospects, but also about practical topics such as the importance of domestic produce.
Information on price trends, volumes and market prospects for carrots, potatoes, onions, broccoli, mini romaine and zucchini as well as pumpkin and garlic will be provided by the Agrarmarkt-Informationsgesellschaft (AMI) and representatives of the packers and marketers. Other presentations will cover weather forecasting models to safeguard vegetable health and long-term storage techniques.
The Organic Vegetable and Potato Forum is aimed primarily at farmers. The organizer is the Competence Center Organic Agriculture Lower Saxony.
