Switzerland: So PotatOh! continues to grow

In June 2020, Terralog ag launched the So PotatOh! product line, a healthy, fresh and delicious way to eat potatoes. One year later, the Bern-based potato specialist is taking stock as the original goals have been largely exceeded.

2020 review: release on the market
Just a year ago, the So PotatOh! product line made its first appearance on the Swiss retail market, in some pilot stores of the Migros Aare, Basel, Lucerne and Neuchâtel-Fribourg cooperatives. From the start, three varieties - Romarin paprika, Garden herbs and Garlic - have been a big hit among Swiss consumers.

Increased availability
The high demand was a (pleasant) surprise and largely exceeded the expectations. From the 3rd of May, more products will be available and the So PotatOh! line will be found in the ten Migros regional cooperatives, in a number of stores and in the Migros online shop.

The small Swiss potatoes are not available at the moment, so small potatoes are imported from Europe and grown sustainably while waiting for the next harvest. The origin of the potatoes and other ingredients is clearly indicated on the packaging.

So PotatOh!: a unique tasting experience
For this dish, the size and taste of the potatoes are essential. Only the smallest potatoes will make it through the process. It is true that the smaller potatoes we can eat in one bite have an incomparable taste.

The fresh and tasty potato specialty is vegan. So PotatOh! does not contain any flavor enhancers, preservatives or synthetic colors. The list of ingredients is clear: fresh washed small potatoes with a quality oil-based marinade. So PotatOh! is very versatile and can be easily incorporated into any menu to bring a touch of craziness to every meal: as a healthy and fresh accompaniment to grilled meats and salads, or as a small snack.

Simple preparation
The potatoes can be added to the marinade and then easily prepared in the oven or in the pan. A cardboard container is provided for baking. After about 30 minutes of baking, the accompaniment is ready to be eaten, The practical 480g portion is ideal for one or two people.

Packaging and sustainability
The appealing and practical packaging of the So PotatOh! products is made primarily of recycled materials. Manufactured in Europe, the heat-resistant containers are made from FSC paper fibers, a first in Switzerland. The paper banner is also recyclable. The potatoes come from Switzerland, subject to availability, and so does the marinade. The So PotatOh! products are packed in Rüdtligen-Alchenflüh, in the canton of Bern.

The innovative So PotatOh! product line is marketed by the leading Swiss potato specialist Terralog ag.
