Lipman Family Farms is deepening its generational commitment to fighting hunger with its latest $2 million investment will help to build a new facility for the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers.
The center — set to break ground this November and be completed by the end of next year — will expand the food bank's ability to sort, pack, and distribute fresh, nutritious food to thousands of families facing hunger.
For Lipman, the gift is the next step in a decades-long relationship rooted in shared purpose. Based in Immokalee and still family-owned after more than 75 years, the company has worked with Harry Chapin Food Bank for years to ensure that fresh, nutritious produce — not just shelf-stable goods — will reach neighbors in need.

"Hunger relief is a core pillar that gives meaning to our Good From The Ground Up® promise," said Jaime Weisinger, director of community and government relations for Lipman Family Farms. "Harry Chapin Food Bank has been an essential partner in making that vision real. We believe that no one should go hungry. This contribution will be a force multiplier for that mission."
The food bank serves more than a quarter of a million people each month across Southwest Florida. The new facility will allow the organization to scale its impact, making it easier to handle fresh produce donations. It also increases volunteer capacity and streamlines food distribution at a time when demand remains high.
"Lipman Farms is a Southwest Florida institution and a long-time partner of ours. We are proud to put its name on our new Volunteers Center, and so grateful for this landmark gift, which brings our dreams of a Hunger Action Center closer to reality," said Richard LeBer, president and CEO of Harry Chapin Food Bank.
The company's commitment to hunger relief goes far beyond financial support. It donates more than a million pounds of produce annually nationwide and has mobilized employees to volunteer side-by-side with food banks, from assembling holiday meals to supporting food distributions during its annual "Day of Good" service initiative.
This $2 million commitment continues a legacy of giving that has defined Lipman's role in Southwest Florida — from funding scholarships for local students to helping build the RCMA facility in southwest Florida. It reflects a philosophy the company calls Good From the Ground Up: cultivating lasting impact in the communities in which it operates.
