Oregon apple production is forecast at 125 million pounds, down 8 percent from 2022

Apples
Based on August 1, 2023 conditions, Oregon apple production is forecast at 125 million pounds, down 8 percent from 2022. Washington ranks number one in apple production, accounting for 68 percent of the U.S. production this year. Washington apple production is forecast at 6.70 billion pounds, up 9 percent from last year's production.

Cranberries
Cranberry production in Oregon is forecast at 470,000 barrels, up 18 percent from 2022. Oregon ranks fourth in the nation for cranberry production.

Grapes
Washington total grape production is forecast at 365,000 tons, down 12 percent from last year. Of the 365,000 tons in Washington, 155,000 tons are forecast for juice grapes, down 10 percent from 2022. Washington wine grapes are forecast at 210,000 tons, down 13 percent from last year. Washington is the second largest grape producer in the nation at 6 percent of national production.

Peaches
Washington peach production, at 7,500 tons, is up 3 percent from last year. Washington peach production is forecast as the seventh largest in the U.S.

Pears
Total Oregon pear production, forecast at 190,000 tons, is down 4 percent from last year. Total Washington pear production, at 290,000 tons, is up 2 percent from 2022.
