Israeli conglomerate Managro buys 100% of the Colombian company Pacific Fruits

The Colombian company Pacific Fruits, based in Valle del Cauca, managed to export 250 containers of Hass avocados in 2019, positioning itself in the distribution of this fruit in countries such as Chile and targeting Asian markets. Now the company has announced that the Israeli conglomerate Managro has completed the process of buying 100% of its composition.

Chagai Stern, Managro's executive director, said the operation consisted of the purchase of 100% of the Colombian company, which includes its entire operation, which is a strategic channel for the export of fruits and vegetables from Colombia and to develop new businesses.

Last year, Pacific Fruits exported almost 10 million dollars and according to projections, the company will increase its exports by more than 5% this year with the opening of new markets. It was one of the first Colombian companies to arrive with Hass avocado in Saudi Arabia, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Kuwait, and Argentina.
