The German discounter Netto, with 4,500 branches in Germany and part of the Edeka Group, has reached an exclusive agreement with Chiquita regarding mangoes, melons and physalis under this world-famous fruit brand. This agreement therefore does not include bananas and pineapple.
As of Monday 25 February, the first mangoes and melons were supplied exclusively by the German discounter. Both the supermarket and the fruit giants declined to respond to this deal.
