Paraguay: 25,200 boxes of pineapples for Argentina

Producers in ConcepciĆ³n, who had technical assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), exported some 25,200 boxes of pineapples to the Argentine market.

These pineapple producers are based in the town of Aleman Cue, in the district of Horqueta.

"The 76 producers involved in the export are assisted by MAG agents, and achieved an excellent pineapple production. Each fruit was sold at an average price of G. 1,900, and each box has approximately 10 units of fruit," the MAG stated.

In other news, 650 rural families of Family Farming benefited from the delivery of 10,000 chickens and 1,000 bags of bird feed as part of the Poultry Breeding Project.

In addition, producers in the town of Belen received a tractor and agricultural implements to support their farm work.

One of the fundamental purposes of MAG is the mechanization and technification of small-producer farms so that they can achieve a greater productivity, improve the quality of their products, and, therefore, achieve a better marketing value for said products.
