Dutch pears break into Mexican market

An agreement laying out the conditions under which Dutch pears can be exported to Mexico, was signed last week. This is according to the Dutch Fruit Growers Organisation (NFO). Thanks to the combined efforts of the Dutch Government, the GroetenFruit Huis and the NFO, access to this market was achieved in a relatively short amount of time. The expected conditions set out by Mexico were taken into account from the beginning of this year. This made it possible for pears from the 2017 harvest to already be exported in the short term.
