Smurf trucks come together to bid farefell to strawberry campaign

The 2017 strawberry season is coming to an end and, to mark the occasion, Fresón de Palos has gathered in its facilities several of the trucks that have travelled Europe for months with the promotion featuring the Smurfs. The vehicles were supplied by the leading refrigeration company Primafrio, which is Fresón de Palos' main logistics provider.

The event was attended by both Antonio Oliveira (CEO of Fresón de Palos) and José Esteban Conesa, CEO of Primafrio. Oliveira took the opportunity to thank his partners, employees and clients for their efforts during the season, expressing also his satisfaction with the promotional collaboration with Primafrio. For his part, Conesa also said he was happy to have collaborated professionally with the European leader in strawberry production, highlighting the commitment of Primafrio as a leader in international logistics.

Fresón de Palos surprised everyone early in the year when it announced a huge promotional campaign together with Sony Pictures, using the famous Smurfs to promote the consumption of their healthy fruit among families. Some of the prizes to be awarded to consumers are family trips to film studios in California, televisions, game consoles, bluetooth headsets and thousands of movie tickets. Once the draw has been made, the list of winners will be published on the websites and social media pages of Fresón de Palos from 7 June.

Primafrio is the leading company in the transport of berries, with most of its fleet concentrated in Huelva during the months of February to July. Their leadership is demonstrated by the fact that they ship more than one million kilos daily from Huelva to destinations across Europe; a figure that reflects its specialization, capacity and commitment to a key sector for the province of Huelva.

According to Conesa, "operating from our main base in Lepe allows us to offer maximum proximity to the customer and, therefore, a close professional relationship."
