Aartsenfruit expands Capito assortment

The quality and presentation of all products is important for Aartsenfruit. That is also the case for their Italian range. For each product, Aartsenfruit searches for the best cultivators in the right region. After finding a reliable partner, these products are packed, in consultation, as Aartsenfruit’s Italian own brand Capito. For apples, Aartsenfruit entered into a cooperation with Mezzacorona from the Italian Südtirol. This company is located in Trento, and has an area of 550 hectares.

QC man Mike van den Berghe

Südtirol is the pre-eminent region for the production of apples. Due to its high altitude, it is guaranteed you will have many hours of sunshine there. Add to that the cold nights and you have an ideal climate for the flavour and quality development of apples.

Aartsenfruit is having this fruit packaged in the Capito 8 kg open top box especially for its Belgian branch in Sint-Katelijne-Waver. These apples are available in the varieties Golden Delicious, Royal Gala, Red Chief, Fuji, Granny Smith and Braeburn.
