Mountain Blue Farms to enter Australian market

Mountain Blue Farms is planning to enter the Australian market in partnership with the WA fruit marketing company, Mercer Mooney, agreeing to a plan to roll out production of premium blueberries in the state.

The company believes they can make a good impression on Australian consumers. They have received the Coles Supplier Award for Product Innovation in 2016 for their jumbo Eureka blueberry variety. “We are excited to work with Mercer Mooney and ensure that Eureka blueberries are available in Western Australia in the near future. In addition, we will be looking to develop export opportunities in conjunction with WA blueberry growers” says Mountain Blue Farms Managing Director, Andrew Bell.

“We look forward to developing this exciting opportunity alongside Mountain Blue Farms and our growers in Western Australia. We will be looking to plant Eureka blueberries as far north as Broome and as far south as Albany, and at various locations in between,” states Mercer Mooney, Executive Director, Paul Neale.
