Chilean blueberries honoured in Paris
In presence of 12 journalists of leading women’s and culinary magazines and influential bloggers, each having a strong presence on social media. The event was opened by Mr Pedro Duran de la Fuente, director of the Prochile bureau in France who stressed on the quality management and the dynamism of the Chilean blueberry industry allowing Chile now to be the first export country of this superfruit in the world.
It followed with a brief presentation made by a dietitian who focused on the multiple nutritional benefits of blueberries.
Then, Chef Philippe Groult, Culinary Art Director at Le Cordon Bleu, “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” and previously a two Michelin stars international restaurants owner conducted a cooking show of 2 recipes inspired by Chilean blueberries.
At the end of the workshop, all participants were invited to upload pictures of the recipes and a short video to their blogs, social medias pages.
This workshop forms part of the Chilean blueberries campaign in France for the 2016/2017 season in which stimulation of consumer demand is a new objective in order to develop the French market where the blueberries consumption per capita is still low but with a strong potential.
