Banana grower and importer participates in Organicology
Organics Unlimited, a San Diego-based grower and importer of organic fruit, will showcase its organic bananas and other fruits at the Organicology trade show in Portland on Saturday, February 4, 2017. The company has exhibited in every Organicology trade show since the conference’s inception.
Organicology brings different groups together within the organic industry, including organic growers, manufacturers, retailers, activists, policy experts, educators, researchers and non-profit organizations. Together, attendees develop skills and gain exposure to the challenges and accomplishments of the organic movement. Hosted by four organizations, Organicology aims to drive our food system toward a healthier, sustainable future.
“Organicology is one of our most favorite events of the year because attendees are very committed to the organic produce and sustainable products industry,” said Mayra Velazquez de León, president of Organics Unlimited and GROW. “We showcase our organic bananas and our commitment to sustainability. It is also an opportunity to learn what is happening within the organics industry and see how we are part of a larger movement.”
Organics Unlimited and GROW organic bananas, coconuts and plantains are available in multiple retail locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
