UK Onion & Carrot conference speakers announced
This is a well-established meeting point, conference and trade show for all those involved in production or allied to these significant industries from home and abroad. An additional highlight is the dinner on Wednesday, 4h November, which will return to the Holiday Inn Peterborough West.
Speaking at the Onion Conference on technical progress will be Dr John Clarkson on his current Fusarium research, Dr Alison Wakeham on the control of Downy Mildew and the potential shortage of herbicides will be highlighted by Andy Richardson of Allium & Brassica Agronomy.
Jake Freestone of Overbury Farms will present on his practical approach to Precision Farming following on from the talk by Professor Simon Blackmore from the Engineering Department at Harper Adams University.
Yosi Kanner, General Manager of Gezer Shluhot from Israel will explain how growers in his country adapt to the use of this limited resource in terms of their rules, quotas and prices.
