The average prices of kiwis were quite high in Germany in week 50. The New Zealand shipments fetched particularly high prices compared to volumes from other countries, also compared to last year's price during the same week. The New Zealand kiwi fetched 3.17 per kilo on average, with the French costing 2.41 per kilo, Italian 1.60, and Greek 1.33. Notably, supplies from Italy were largest, followed by Greece and France. The New Zealand share was just 0.5% in week 50.
