Russia: Sale of 164 kilos of berries and herbs not permitted

Due to violations of phytosanitary standards, from the beginning of 2014 to present day, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection Service in Novosibirsk region has prohibited the sale of seventeen loads of vegetables, herbs, fruit and berries, weighing in at a total of 164 kg.

According to the data provided by Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection Service in the Novosibirsk region, for the ten months of the current year, 730 samples of fresh produce have been tested for chemicals in order to guarantee the safety of fruit, vegetables, herbs, nuts and dried fruit.
