US (CA): Raisin packers get new offer

The Raisin Bargaining Association has given the industry's packers a new offer for the 2013 natural seedless raisin crop.

The association's offer is $1,800 a ton. The previous offer of a sliding scale that could have paid growers up to $2,000 a ton was rejected by the packers.

The industry's packers have until Nov. 8 to respond.
