Germany: Biodukte.de gives consumers an overview of regional organic suppliers

From now on, consumers can see the locations of German health food shops, supermarkets and farmer's markets in just one glance. Biodukte.de is a new independent portal that helps organic consumers locate regional suppliers of organic products. More than 3,500 stores were included in the overview. Customers can also see the opening hours of the closest organic suppliers.

"It is not a simple task to find all of the daily organic products needed," explains Jens Wise. He is the creator of Biodukte.de. "We are making it possible for our consumers to search for organic suppliers in the immediate vicinity and enabling them to consume more sustainably."

The stores need to meet a number of criteria in advance before they get a place on Biodukte.de: 80% of the store's products need to be organic. The farmer's shops and supermarkets need to be able to show that they have an organic certificate. "We guarantee that we only mention reliable organic suppliers on our website."
