"Rose: "We are lucky that consumers are becoming more health conscience"
Netherlands: Dutch Cranberry Group continues to expand range
The Dutch Cranberry Group presented its wide range of natural juices during the AGF Detail convention. "One of the newest juices is the Goji berry. This berry in on the rise in the Netherlands. It's really a great and healthy berry. Therefore it is a juice that can not be left out of our range."
Appreciation for natural products
"It took a while, but we are now the only producers in Europe who are in the position to press this berry and to immediately bottle it into our own containers," shares the owner, Rose Khorenyan. "We can clearly see a growth in the acquisition of this juice. Other juices are also on the rise. Natural products are really appreciated. People want products without all the extra additives and are focussed on a healthy diet. We are lucky that consumers are becoming more health conscience."
"Buyers of our juices are health food stores, speciality fruit and veg shops, catering and hotels in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. "The products are primarily sold as our own brand and we also supply a private label to particular customers." Rose admits that she can't really say that the competition is very tough. "Nobody offers the same type of products. Also, competition ensures that you stay innovative and that is exactly what we are. I started with the juice in 2004 and continue to expand our products. We currently have a range of 74 products and the juices make up 29 of those products."
